Wrestling Team Support
Dear NCW Wrestling Families,
We have had a fantastic start to the wrestling season, and we are excited for what’s ahead in the New Year with many more matches and opportunities to grow as a team!
We are grateful to Father Ryan High School for generously allowing us to use the Patrick Simpson ’74 Wrestling Facility free of charge, which helps keep our costs low and provides great facilities for our athletes.
As a way to support the Father Ryan Wrestling Team, we have two upcoming events where we are hoping our NCW families can help:
1. Room in the Inn – Christmas Eve
Father Ryan hosts 20 men on Christmas Eve through the Room in the Inn program, and the wrestling team provides a duffle bag filled with essential supplies as a gift for each of these men. We are asking our NCW families to donate one box of individually pre-packaged snacks (such as granola bars, peanut butter crackers, jerky, etc.). These snacks will be divided up to fill each duffle bag. Donations can be dropped off in the wrestling office during practice, and we ask that all items be brought by December 23 so we have time to prepare the bags.
2. Johnny Drennan Tournament – January 3-4
Father Ryan Wrestling will be hosting 55+ teams for the Johnny Drennan Tournament. In support of the event, we are asking NCW families to donate cases of water and/or Gatorade to help fuel the tournament. Donations can be brought starting this week and will be stored in the wrestling office.
